Nervous System Healing

The safe and sound protocol (SSP) is a listening therapy that uses music to help regulate and sooth the nervous system. It is a practical application of Polyvagal Theory and is a comprehensive approach to healing.

The SSP is a non-invasive auditory vagal nerve stimulator that helps re-tune the nervous system to better support feelings of safety, resilience, connection, and well-being. This unique listening therapy is a journey that brings together the client, therapist and the SSP to create a safe space for brain and body integration and healing to achieve impactful, long-lasting results

The SSP, developed by Dr. Stephen Porges, author of Polyvagal Theory, is a brief therapeutic model that culminates in a 5 hour auditory intervention (one hour weekly, over 5 days) It is suitable for children and adults and allows for growth and progress over a shorter period of time.

“If you want to improve the world, start by making people feel safe.” - Dr. Stephen Porges
